History of MANRRS
Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) began as a vision shared by a group of agriculture students and faculty members at Michigan State University and Pennsylvania State University. Their goal was to develop a partnership between minority agriculture and natural resources students and professionals from academic institutions, government, and industry. Their commitment led to the first national MANRRS conference, held at Michigan State University in 1986.
The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences chartered it's MANRRS chapter in 1989. It is one of the founding chapters.
