- Plan, implement, develop, evaluate and report all programs associated with the Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Sciences Program (TNCEP).
- Maintain appropriate communication with State and Region staff and participating counties including record keeping and responsibility for assigned area.
- Assist with application for any grant monies which may become available for TNCEP projects.
- Establish, train and maintain county coalitions
- Maintain inventory records of all items purchased with TNCEP funds
- Facilitate financial accountability for program implementation
- Responsible to the County Extension Director, and must keep current on the latest research information in family and consumer sciences
- Major area of emphasis includes nutrition education, food safety, and resource management relating to food.
- Provide leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. Preference will be given to applicants with a balanced curriculum that includes a minimum level of training in the usual Family and Consumer Sciences discipline
- Preference will be given to applicants with a Master’s Degree, and/or work experience in family and consumer sciences or related field.
- Minimum of 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Salary is commensurate with training and experience. This is a TNCEP position and continuation is subject to funding availability.
