Rotary International Funds Ambassadorial Scholarships
These scholarships are very attractive for young men and women who have an interest in gaining an international experience during their academic career. A 12-month academic scholarship stipend is $26,000. Three and six month language or cultural exchange scholarships that do not require enrolment in an academic program are also available. In general, a student has to have completed two years of college, have an excellent record of scholarship and service and not be blood relative of a Rotary Club member. The contact person for the Sunrise Rotary Club of Gainesville is Dr. Wayne H. Smith.
Financial aid for study abroad
Yes, financial aid can be used for studying abroad; Student Financial Services and UFIC coordinate the process. Federal Direct Stafford Loans and/or Federal Direct PLUS Loans (for parents of dependent undergraduate students) are the primary programs used for study abroad.
